Cottage Health established one of the first structural heart programs in California and the western United States in 2007. Structural heart disease includes abnormalities or conditions that affect your heart’s valves, chambers, muscles or walls.

Today, we offer one of the most experienced care teams for issues such as valvular heart disease, complex coronary artery disease, congenital heart defects, and treatments to reduce the risk of stroke due to atrial fibrillation—the most common type of irregular heartbeat.

Patients can expect the most advanced cardiac devices and procedural techniques that give patients the ability to receive care locally for complex cardiac conditions and diseases.

Structural Heart Disease Program cardiologists participate in national and international trials, which have brought access to life-saving, emerging treatment options and procedures for patients.
