Employee Counseling Services provides brief to longer-term behavioral health services at no charge for employees and their covered dependents. Our highly experienced staff has expertise in treating a wide variety of presenting issues.
As a covered benefit, clients have the opportunity to explore their concerns in a safe, comfortable and confidential setting.

Kelly Hyatt

Kelly joined the Cottage mental health team in 2016. Kelly utilizes a strength-based integrative approach in her work with children, teens, and adults. She draws on principles from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavior models to collaborate with clients to set goals for positive change. Kelly views the therapeutic process as a tool to help individuals explore meaningful ways for strengthening their relationship to self, as well as increasing cohesiveness and functioning in all life domains.
Her areas of clinical focus include: anxiety, depression, stress management, substance abuse, life transitions, burnout, family dynamics, parenting, caregiving, and grief/loss.

Teresa Jones

Teresa started her time at Cottage as a student in 2023, while completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. Teresa’s empathy and drive for human connection creates a space for clients to feel secure, heard, and seen throughout the counseling process. Teresa leans on an integrative approach to therapy that incorporates principles and techniques from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing and often caters her approach to each client’s specific needs.
Teresa has worked with clients of all ages and stages, and on presenting issues including stress, anxiety, grief, substance use, and a range of familial challenges.

Anne Pigeon

Anne began her career at Cottage as a student in 2022 while completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara.
Anne’s compassionate and person-centered approach to therapy fosters a non-judgmental safe space for processing and healing. She offers strength-based and solution-focused treatment for many topics such as burnout and stress, anxiety, trauma and life transitions. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and stages in their life’s journey.

Colleen M. Breen

Colleen joined the Cottage mental health team in 2020. She provides counseling for persons ranging in age from late adolescence/transitional age youth to elder adults.
Colleen studied Depth/Jungian Psychology and works from a person-centered approach, focusing on the building of safe, supportive therapeutic relationships that allow clients to connect to their innate healing processes.
Her clinical focus areas include: life transitions, depression, family dynamics, substance use disorders, chronic illness/pain, senior/elder mental health, and family caregiving.

She works with people of all ages and has a calm and warming presence.
