For patients who do not require a bed, Cottage’s remodeled Emergency Department at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is equipped with specially designed patient chairs for upright care during consultation and treatment.
Your care team will bring care to you with the most appropriate visit model to meet your needs.
Enhanced Safety and Security
Patients and visitors enter through an electronic screening system which scans for prohibited items. Bag checks and additional security screening may also be used at the entry.
NOT PERMITTED in Cottage Health facilities:
- Weapons (including pocket knives)
- Cigarettes, vapes, lighters
- Photos, audio/video recording
These security measures help us protect patient privacy and create a safe and healing environment for care.
