Rachel Cohen, MD

Born and raised in Santa Barbara (born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, in fact!), Dr. Rachel Cohen spent several years on the east coast for college, working in clinical research, and medical school before returning to California for residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Landing back in Santa Barbara as a hospitalist has been a delightful return to her roots.

She is particularly interested in health equity, medical education, breastfeeding medicine, palliative care, and reproductive health/justice. Outside the hospital, she loves baking and hosting dinner parties as well as hiking and camping. She and her husband took their baby for her first camping trip at four months old.
