Block Schedule - Pediatric Residency
Please see the sample schedules for each of the three years below. Throughout each rotation (other than night float, away rotations and vacation), residents attend academic half day every Tuesday afternoon and continuity clinic one afternoon per week.
PGY-1 Rotation
- Inpatient Ward - 12 weeks
- Night Float - 4 weeks
- Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics - 4 weeks
- Community Pediatrics - 4 weeks
- Ambulatory - 8 weeks
- Elective - 6 weeks
- Quality Improvement - 2 weeks
- Newborn Nursery - 4 weeks
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - 4 weeks
- Emergency Department - 4 weeks
- Vacation - 4 weeks
PGY-2 Rotation
- Inpatient Ward Senior - 4 weeks
- Night Float - 4 weeks
- Ambulatory - 8 weeks
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - 4 weeks
- Adolescent - 4 weeks
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - 4 weeks
- Emergency Department - 4 weeks
- Elective - 16 weeks
- Vacation - 4 weeks
PGY-3 Rotation
- Inpatient Ward Senior - 4 weeks
- Night Float - 4 weeks
- Mental Health - 4 weeks
- Community Pediatrics - 4 weeks
- Emergency Department - 4 weeks
- Individualized Curriculum/Elective - 12 weeks
- Elective - 20 weeks
