Ed Wroblewski, MD
Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer
Ed Wroblewski, MD, is a cardiologist and has served as Cottage Health’s Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer since 2011. Dr. Wroblewski is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Temple Hospital and a fellowship and at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
Julie Robinson EdD, MPH

Director, Graduate Medical Education
Julie Robinson, EdD, provides leadership in accreditation and evaluation of Graduate Medical Education programs. Toward the goal of advancing health equity by equipping the next generation of physicians, Julie leads organizational change through continuous improvement, strategic planning, coaching, implementation of innovative curricula, and facilitating personal and professional growth for the team.
Since 2004, Julie has served Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s GME programs as Education Specialist, Program Manager, Manager, Director and DIO, ensuring excellence in oversight of program and institutional accreditation. Julie holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, where she explored leadership development of physician-trainees. Julie earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She and her husband raised their two daughters in Santa Barbara.
Anabel Fernandez
GME Institutional Coordinator and Program Coordinator Assistant, Internal Medicine
Anabel is a Santa Barbara native. She worked with orthopedic surgeons and became a Cottage One super user while at Goleta Valley Therapy for 8 years. Anabel is family oriented, always busy, and never bored caring for her two daughters. She is excited to join GME and grow her knowledge in healthcare.

Bernard Chow, MD, FACR
Program Director, Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program
Clinical Professor of Radiology, Keck-USC School of Medicine
Bernard Chow, MD, joined the Cottage Health Medical Staff in 2004. He is a graduate of the McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Canada and completed residencies at Boston Medical Center and Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chow also completed a fellowship with National Orthopedic Imaging Associates.
Selena Kelley, C-TAGME
Radiology Residency Coordinator
Selena grew up in Carpinteria, Calif., and joined Cottage Health in 1997. She completed Cottage’s first Medical Transcription training program in 1998 and worked in the Transcription Department for five years before working in the Pathology Department in 2004, transcribing pathology reports as well as administrative duties. She joined the Radiology Residency in 2015. Selena completed Cottage Hospital’s internal professional growth leadership program-the Health Professionals Institute-in 2019, gave a presentation at the national MedHub conference in 2022 titled “Learning to Lead Change Effectively,” as well as earning C-TAGME certification in 2024 through the National Board for Certification Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education, reflecting achievement and commitment to the profession of graduate medical education. She enjoys meeting new medical students and guiding the residents to their future career in Radiology. In her free time, she enjoys walking on the beach, watercolor painting and watching the Dodgers.
Internal Medicine Residency Program
Lynn Fitzgibbons, MD, FIDSA
Director, Internal Medicine Residency Program
Dr. Lynn Fitzgibbons is the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and holds academic appointments at USC Keck School of Medicine and UC Santa Barbara. She works as an Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine inpatient teaching attending at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and is the Infectious Disease physician at the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department, where she was previously Deputy Health Officer.
Through her career, she has had a particular interest in HIV medicine in underserved populations, having spent ten months as a volunteer clinical faculty in Mbarara, Uganda prior to completing her Infectious Disease training. She has been an associated faculty with the Cottage Health residency program since 2015, joined the permanent faculty in 2016, and became program director in 2021.
As an adjunct faculty at UCSB since 2019, she co-teaches an annual undergraduate class, Geography 6: Sex, Drugs and Geography, involving an overview of several STD and drug epidemics from a spatial and geographic lens. Social determinants of health have been a particular focus of her work, extending from HIV clinical work and medical education in sub-Saharan Africa to the clinical care of uninsured and underinsured in the Santa Barbara area. She is also the Medical Director of the Cottage Center for Population Health, served as past chair of the Cottage IRB, and continues to serve on that Board, as well as the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinic system.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, she worked closely with SB County Public Health Department and the leadership at Cottage Health on many aspects of the clinical and public health response, with an emphasis on education, clinical care and policy work. Her areas of research include several social and basic science applications of clinical infectious diseases, including epidemiology, virology and medical education.
Thad Bordofsky, MD
Associate Program Director
Internal Medicine Residency Program
Dr. Thad Bordofsky is Associate Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency. A Clinical Professor of Medicine at Keck-USC School of Medicine, Dr. Bordofsky has interests in the care of underserved populations, Human Rights Medical Training, and both humanistic and evidence-based medicine. He is the residency champion for preparation for the ABIM exam as the lead of the Academic Wednesday conference series, Journal Readers Club and In-training Exam review.
Dr. Bordofsky is one of the core clinical attendings for the inpatient Internal Medicine Resident Service and also works weekly with residents in the Internal Medicine County Clinic at Santa Barbara County Health Care Center. Raised in Santa Barbara, Dr. Bordofsky joined the program in 2006.
Lisa Singh, MD
Associate Program Director
Internal Medicine Residency Program
Dr. Lisa Singh is an Associate Program Director and the Director of Procedural Education at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, with a focus on using point of care ultrasound (POCUS) for clinical decision making and bedside procedures. She is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine and holds an academic appointment at USC-Keck School of Medicine.
Though she spends most of her time teaching inpatient medicine at SBCH, she also runs a POCUS elective for residents and teaches emergency medicine at a nearby hospital. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, family beach days and exploring the Central Coast.
Kimberly Geller
Internal Medicine Coordinator
Kim joined Cottage Health in 2017. She brings a passion and focus for streamlining processes and improving existing practices and systems using her more than 20 years of experience in the education administration field and her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior.
Pediatric Residency Program – Cottage Children’s Medical Center
Jeffrey Frazer, MD
Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Jeffrey Frazer, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist with subspecialty experience in pediatric fetal cardiology and pediatric echocardiography. Dr. Frazer practices at Cottage Health’s Grotenhuis Pediatric Clinics. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Dr. Frazer also completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Aimee Deppe
Program Coordinator
Aimee was born and raised in Salt Lake City and (happily) relocated to Santa Barbara in 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in Kinesiology. While health and fitness have always been her passion, she established a career in Quality Assurance Management for regulated environments, her favorite being medical device. She is looking forward to a fresh career in Graduate Medical Education and getting to know her new community. In her spare time, she enjoys life at the beach and in the mountains, preferably with a dog at her side.

Jeffrey Gauvin, MD
Program Director, General Surgery Residency Program
Jeffrey Gauvin, MD, serves at the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at Cottage Health. He earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing and completed his internship and residency at Michigan State University. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
William Conway, MD
Associate Program Director, General Surgery Residency Program
William Conway, MD, serves as Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program. He is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and continued his training at Hope College and Wayne State University Medical Center in Detroit. He also completed a gastrointestinal fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute.
Veronica Campuzano
Program Coordinator
Veronica is a Santa Barbara native and was born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. She joined Cottage Health in 2009 as a Unit Coordinator/Patient Care Tech in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She has held various roles in the Surgery Department and ICU at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Since 2019 she has served as Program Coordinator for the General Surgery Residency Program. She is currently studying Nursing at Santa Barbara City College and plans to apply her knowledge from this degree in her current role. Veronica is bilingual and passionate about equity in health care. Her favorite part of her role at Cottage is working directly with the residents from their first day at Cottage and beyond and knowing that they will be successful in their careers in medicine and Surgery.
