Research Quality Assurance (including IRB)
Our team works in collaboration with the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Institutional Review Board (IRB) to develop, establish and provide training material, programs and tools for research investigators and coordinators and CHRI staff to assure compliance related to applicable federal, state and local institutional research regulations.
Research Business Development + Project Implementation at Cottage Health Research Institute
Our team provides insight, plans and implements targeted research study initiatives in both sponsored and non-sponsored disease areas by working with investigators to design, implement and analyze clinical data. We work with principal investigators, medical and academic institutions as well as the private sector to identify research opportunities and collaborations to implement projects at all Cottage facilities.
Clinical Research Coordinators
We support principal investigators from study identification to study close-out. Our team is ready to pre-screen, enroll and guide our patients through the clinical study process.

Research Operations & SAGE Medical Library
Research Operations manages and supports CHRI’s processes, organizational objectives and compliance, and plans research expenditures. The SAGE Medical Library, located on the SBCH campus, is the largest such facility on the Central Coast. It serves physicians, hospital staff, patients and families.
