A New Treatment for Enlarged Prostates

As men get older, many experience urinary tract problems due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate.

BPH is a non-cancerous condition where the prostate has grown to be larger than normal. It is common: 50% of men ages 51-60 have BPH. The likelihood of it occurring increases with age.

If left untreated, BPH can cause significant health problems, including irreversible bladder or kidney damage, bladder stones and incontinence.

In the past, when medication did not provide the needed relief, surgery was required to remove part of the prostate.

83%

of men with BPH are NOT willing to sacrifice sexual function for symptom relief with surgery.1

Aquablation offers a new, incision-free option for BPH

Aquablation is an advanced, minimally invasive treatment that uses the power of water and robotics to provide long-lasting symptom relief. With a camera and ultrasound, the surgeon is able to see the entire prostate during the procedure and use focused heat-free waterjet ablation technology. This allows for precise, consistent and effective removal of prostate tissue.
