Physician Profile
Year began practicing:
1990
Physician Philosophy:
As an orthopedic surgeon, I enjoy caring for individuals with musculoskeletal problems. Initially, this process requires listening closely to each patient's specific concerns. Orthopedic intervention requires working closely with individuals to identify solutions to their needs. Each patient must then become an active participant in his/her own rehabilitation.
In the majority of instances, individuals respond well to conservative management including physical therapy, strength and proprioception training, and activity modification. At times, conservative management fails to provide restoration of function and adequate relief of pain. In these cases, I am happy to review and discuss appropriate surgical interventions.
Communication, education, and cooperation between each patient and their physician is of paramount importance. This includes a positive commitment to work together to overcome any musculoskeletal illness that may arise.
