Description

CPR for Infant / Child is based on American Heart Association guidelines for the lay public and covers CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and choking first aid for infants and children up to the age of 8. This course is appropriate for expecting parents.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

This course is designed for expecting/new parents who do not require “certification” for employment.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss causes and prevention of injury and cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children
  • Demonstrate how to administer CPR and first aid for choking infants and children

Pre-registration is required.

Course Fee: $50 per couple. Classes begin promptly. Please be on time.
