These classes will help prepare expectant families for the arrival of a new baby. The classes are intended to provide expert support for the challenges of pregnancy and labor. Throughout the class, participants will have the opportunity to ask a certified childbirth educator questions about labor and birth.

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s Virtual Childbirth Preparation Class will help prepare expectant families for the arrival of a new baby. Our classes are appropriate whether you choose a natural approach or medical options for coping with the labor and birth process. Specially trained registered nurses provide expert preparation and support to help you navigate pregnancy and childbirth.
The virtual two-part series occurs on two consecutive weeknights for about a 2-2.5-hour period for each class. We recommend taking this class anywhere between 6-8 weeks before your due date. The virtual class offers the same content and focus as the on-site class, but simply in the comfort of your own home.
