Thanks to widespread community support, the new CT replacement at Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) opened to patients in late Fall of 2023. The CT replacement fundraising campaign exceeded its goal by raising over $650,000.

The new CT significantly enhances the hospital's capabilities to diagnose disease and injury, plan medical treatment and provide improved image quality with lower doses of radiation. This life-saving technology, used in nearly 5,000 procedures annually, is a critical diagnosis tool for the emergency department's tele-stroke program, ensuring the best possible care for patients. SYVCH has been certified as a Stroke-Ready Hospital by the Joint Commission since 2016.

The Harvest Gala, held at Craft House at Corque, was an evening of celebration, entertainment and community. Following dinner, messages of gratitude and the pivotal role of community support in the hospital's success were conveyed by Katie Gorndt, Vice President and Director of Nursing at SYVCH, C.J. Jackson, Past President of SYVCH Foundation and Lisa Moore, Executive Vice President & COO at Cottage Health.
