Bhupi Singh Joins Cottage Health Board of Directors

Bhupi Singh, Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor at Direct Relief, has joined the volunteer Board of Directors for Cottage Health, a not-for-profit leader in providing advanced medical care to California’s Central Coast region.

Mr. Singh has over 45 years of finance and operational experience at technology startups and large public companies.

At Direct Relief, a nonprofit humanitarian aid organization based in Santa Barbara, Mr. Singh was previously Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for 13 years.

He also served as chief financial officer for several technology companies in the Bay Area, including Vernier Networks, Avolent, Volera, and LynuxWorks. He spent 15 years at Apple Computer in various controller positions culminating in Senior Director of Finance for Worldwide Research & Development.

Mr. Singh is a graduate of the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He earned his Certified Public Accountant designation from the Australian Society of Accountants and a Chartered Management Accountant designation in the United Kingdom.

He is treasurer and board member of the Chardi Kalaa Sikh Foundation, a community based nonprofit, and also serves on the board of the Garden Court Foundation in Santa Barbara. He is a former board member of the Eleos Foundation.

Members of the Cottage Health Board of Directors serve without compensation to guide the not-for-profit Cottage hospitals in the mission to provide superior health care for and improve the health of our communities through a commitment to our core values of excellence, integrity and compassion.
