Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital Earns CARF Designation

Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital has been awarded a three-year accreditation by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for its general inpatient rehabilitation, as well as specialty programs in Brain Injury, Stroke, and Spinal Cord Injury.

The accreditation marks more than 30 years that Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital has continuously held the CARF designation for its long-standing programs. This is the first time it has earned CARF designation for its new Spinal Cord Injury program which began in 2018.

CARF International is a nonprofit organization that offers accreditation services and support for health and human services programs. Earning CARF accreditation demonstrates that Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site survey that the hospital is committed to providing the highest level of care for patients.

“The incredible team at CRH made this achievement possible with their commitment to excellence, integrity and compassion, every day and with every patient, despite the challenges of the global pandemic,” said Arie Dejong, Vice President of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital and Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital & Therapy Services. “We look forward to expanding our services to the community, as we embark on our plans to move CRH to a new location at the Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital campus by 2024.”
